ENERGY
EFFICIENT
Going Green is trending in clothing, food, and even the home industry. While many companies claim to “build green”, there are certain questions you can ask to be sure your home is truly green.
-
Has the home received an EPS or HERS rating? This rating verifies that the home has met the high standards of indoor air quality, comfort, low maintenance and energy efficiency.
-
What performance testing is being performed on the home? A blower door test evaluates how much air leakage the home has. Air leakage affects the homes indoor air quality, comfort and energy efficiency. Duct testing evaluates how efficient the HVAC system is in transferring the air that moves through it to the intended rooms with minimal air leakage. This affects the home’s indoor comfort and energy efficiency.
-
Marnella Homes performs these tests and ratings on every home we build.
